President

David Stauch
David Stauch is the president of HS&A Project Management located in Austin. His responsibility for commercial construction projects over the past 30 years exceeds $1.5 billion.  In addition, he has provided consulting services to regional lenders since 1986 on a total loan portfolio of another $1.5 billion.  

Mr. Stauch served as the overall Project Manager on the acclaimed $190 million Texas Capitol Restoration and Extension Program from 1990-1995, delivering on time and under budget.  He also managed the fast-tracked construction of Sematech’s $100 million world-class semiconductor wafer fab from 1988-1989.  Past assignments include leading the successful project recovery / turnaround efforts involving troubled projects such as the $92 million Travis County Criminal Justice program in 1999, and the $221 million Basic Research Sciences Building at MD Anderson in 2004. Most recently, he oversaw the complete relocation of Concordia University, consisting of new construction and renovation on the old Schlumberger campus – the $51 million program was delivered on time and 1% under budget. 

The firm has a public client list including the State, counties, and cities as well as UT and A&M Systems.  Additionally, the firm has served over 20 non-profit clients since 1995.  Current major projects include the Seaholm Power Plant Re-Development and development of the 18 acre AGC / RBJ tower site - east of IH 35 and north of Lady Bird Lake. 

Additionally, Mr. Stauch serves as a construction claims consultant and expert witness for a broad range of clients on litigation matters related to the design & construction process.

Mr. Stauch maintains an associate membership with the State Bar of Texas – Construction Law Section and serves on the Executive Committee of the Urban Land Institute. 

He has been an active community leader serving such organizations as Austin Habitat for Humanity, The American Red Cross of Central Texas, Western Hills Little League, and the Young Men’s Business League.

Mr. Stauch has a degree in Building Construction from Texas A&M University.  He is married with two grown children.
