VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS
Description HS&A, an industry leader specializing in a full range of construction project management services, is currently seeking to add a Vice President of Operations. This newly created position reports directly to and works closely with the President serving in a leadership capacity by facilitating the success of all projects.
Duties This experienced candidate will be responsible for ensuring the success of all aspects of the project life-cycle for all accounts, including supervision of multiple project staff members. Primary responsibilities include:
- Maintaining an already strong team of talented individuals,
- Maintaining relationships with clients, consultants and contractor organizations,
- Understanding contracts and legal issues, with drafting & editing capabilities,
- Monitoring quality in the process as well as the product,
- Ensuring compliance with established goals—including budgets and schedules,
- Mentoring & training,
- Provide direction and leadership to all project managers & estimators,
- Other duties as assigned by President.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Construction, or related discipline,
- 15 to 20 years of experience in the commercial construction industry in a variety of market sectors,
- Experience in Project Management with an Owner / Developer or General Contractor,
- Risk management experience,
- Experience in managing internal / external teams,
- Scheduling experience on large programs,
- Understanding of the site development and due diligence processes,
- The ability to identify potential problems and resolve them in a timely manner,
- The ability to monitor and enforce schedule & budget goals,
- The ability to implement standard policies & procedures for project delivery,
- The ability to evaluate key project metrics,
- Must possess excellent verbal and written skills,
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.

PROJECT MANAGER Degree in the fields of Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or related degree required. At least 5+ years of experience in the design and construction industry required. Duties include budget preparation, value engineering, planning, scheduling, owner relations, quality control, and project team management. Duties will include managing multi-million dollar projects.
