AUSTIN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

HS&A was the Construction Manager for the $8.8 million expansion and renovation of the O. Henry Middle School in Austin, Texas. The O. Henry Middle School was originally built in 1953 on a 14-acre site in the Tarrytown neighborhood in Austin.

The Project involved major structural, MEP, and architectural renovations of the existing school buildings. The new construction included the addition of a new performing arts building with areas for band, orchestra, theater arts/speech and associated offices. Other additions within the Project were the additions of a new 8-room classroom wing, locker room additions and a new library.

The Project was completed on schedule in December 1999.
