Scheduling Services

HS&A provides detailed scheduling services to our clients for a variety of purposes. HS&A employs the industry-standard Critical Path Method (CPM) of scheduling at all phases of a project to give the client a clear understanding of the steps necessary to complete their project on, or before, their required completion date.

Milestone Scheduling
A project owner may have important milestone dates when parts of the project may need to be complete and ready for occupancy. In order to achieve these goals intermediate deadlines and milestones need to be achieved. HS&A can develop easy to understand big-picture schedules clearly communicating these critical intermediate and final milestone events to the entire project team so that every team member clearly understands their role and deadlines needed for a successful project.

Schedule Analysis
HS&A can evaluate the contractor's CPM schedule in detail prior to the beginning of construction to make sure that the schedule logic (e.g. durations, relationships, constraints) is correct, the schedule is well-planned, and that the projected completion date is feasible. During construction, periodic reviews of the contractor's schedule updates may also be necessary to make sure the project is proceeding as planned and that the projected completion date is realistic.

Recovery Scheduling
If a construction project has suffered schedule setbacks, HS&A can work with the contractor, and other project team members, to generate a recovery schedule through extensive analysis of the critical path and the resources dedicated to critical path activities. This process allows the project owner and team members to evaluate and understand where acceleration may be necessary to get the project back on track towards an on time completion, and that any funds spent towards accelerating the schedule are spent in the most efficient manner possible.
